Aevidum believes coaches and advisers serve an important role in the development of students, and that their support and understanding of issues affecting teens create a healthy team culture.

Get coaches and advisers to pledge Aevidum to their teams and groups, creating a healthy “I’ve got your back” culture.

The coaches and advisers should pledge that they…

Support and understand issues affecting teens

Are available to come to as a trusted adult when a student is struggling or needs to refer a struggling friend/teammate

Have each student’s back and will get him/her to an adult who can help

After coaches and advisers pledge, students can also pledge to come to the adult for support in times of difficulty for themselves or for a friend or teammate.

Get creative with your groups. For example, players from 10 Girl’s Lacrosse teams held an Aevidum Day in their county where all athletes wore Aevidum t-shirts to their schools.

Football teams sported Aevidum decals on their helmets as a constant reminder that athletes and coaches had each others’ backs. Several schools even ended their huddles with “Aevidum!”

What will your groups do?

Select students with diverse talents who represent a variety of social circles, cover a range of activities, and positively represent “I’ve got your back.”

Recruit student photographers and designers to photograph the students in action and create the posters.

School assembly, posters in the hallways, morning annou [...]

School assembly, posters in the hallways, morning announcements – how will you get your message out?

Public service announcements allow you to share important information with your study body.

Choose a topic that you’d like your student body and/or community to learn more about.

Check with an adult, such as a guidance counselor or a teacher, to get relevant and accurate information about the topic.

Use your gifts and talents to create announcements… Poster announcements can be placed in hallways, student lounges, or other places throughout your school. Film a PSA and air it during the morning announcements or play it during a school assembly. Record an audio PSA and try to get a local radio station to air it. The possibilities are endless – get creative!
